1. Who runs this site
This website, usc.money, is operated by Mikhail Kartavchenko, an individual based in New York, NY, United States, as an independent project. No company has been formed yet, so the site is not operated by a company. It takes no payments and sells nothing. Contact: mk5303@columbia.edu.
2. What this site is
The site describes USC, an experimental stablecoin system, and provides an interface to smart contracts deployed on the Sepolia test network and on a test chain with chain id 9000. It is provided for testing and demonstration.
Nothing on this site is an offer to sell or buy any security, token, deposit or financial product, and nothing here is investment, legal, tax or financial advice. Test tokens, including test ETH, mETH, USC, USC.e, CAPE, WCAPE and pool shares, have no monetary value and are not redeemable for money from the operator or anyone else.
3. Who may use it
You may use the site only if you are at least 18 years old and allowed to do so under the laws that apply to you. You may not use it if you are located in, or a resident of, a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions by the United States, or if you are on a United States sanctions list. You are responsible for knowing and following your local laws.
4. You control your wallet
The site never holds your keys or your tokens. Every transaction is created in your browser and signed by your own wallet. The operator cannot sign for you, cancel a transaction, or recover tokens sent to a wrong address.
5. The operator can change the system
The contracts are under administrative keys held by the operator. The operator may pause, reconfigure, replace or retire any contract, service or page, including the test chain itself, at any time and without notice. Balances on a retired contract may become unusable.
6. Risks you accept
By using the app you accept the risks described on the risks page, including unaudited code, single-key administration, bridge key concentration, price movement, loss of peg, service outages, and the permanent loss of test tokens.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the site or the contracts to break the law, to attack or overload the infrastructure (including the public RPC at rpc.usc.money), to exploit a bug for gain, or to mislead others about what USC is. If you find a vulnerability, please report it privately to mk5303@columbia.edu instead of exploiting it.
8. No warranty
The site and the contracts are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of any figure shown, and uninterrupted operation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, the contracts or any test token, including lost tokens, lost data or indirect losses.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
11. Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
