USC Testnet

Refund policy

Last updated 26 September 2026.

No payments are taken

The operator sells nothing and accepts no payments, in money or in tokens. There is nothing to refund in the ordinary sense.

Protocol fees

The contracts charge small fees in test tokens, listed on how it works. They are part of the system being tested, go to the protocol's own reserves rather than to the operator, and are not refundable.

Gas

Network gas, paid in test ETH on Sepolia or in CAPE on chain 9000, goes to the network and cannot be returned by anyone, including for a transaction that reverts.

Mistakes

Blockchain transactions are final. A transfer to a wrong address, a wrong amount, or a swap at a bad price cannot be reversed by the operator.

A bridge transfer that has not arrived

A transfer is recorded on the sending chain with a number. If it has not been delivered after an hour, it has not been lost: the signers deliver by that number once they are running again. If it is still missing after 24 hours, email mk5303@columbia.edu with the transaction hash. The operator will investigate and, where the contracts allow it, complete the delivery.
